Security & governance

Your governed data travels with you

Connecting an AI tool never widens access. The MCP server enforces the same boundaries as the Ptengine product.

  • Profile-scoped access. You can only query profiles your account is authorized for — cross-profile access is blocked.
  • Permission-gated rollout. MCP is switched on per profile in phases — a profile must be enabled before it can be queried, and you can request access for one that is not yet enabled.
  • Read-only today. Nothing in your account changes without you — write actions arrive later, opt-in.
  • Your definitions apply. Answers use the same metrics and goal configuration as your reports.

Any MCP-compatible client. Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and ChatGPT all work today.
Today it is read-only — it queries and reports, and never changes your account. Write actions (launching experiments, editing pages, managing goals) are coming soon and will be opt-in.
Authorize Ptengine, add the MCP server to your client, and start asking. No data pipeline or SQL required.
Only the profiles your account is authorized for, and only those enabled for MCP. Because enabling involves data migration, MCP is rolling out to profiles in phases — allowlisted today and expanding to everyone over time, so you may need to request access for a profile. Connecting an AI tool never widens your access.
Access is authenticated per account and scoped per profile. The AI reads the data you already have access to, nothing more, and today cannot modify anything.
